A Special Thank You To A Chamber Member - Cape Coral Pet Crematory
Last month, my husband Reggie and I had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives when it came time to put our beloved Dalmatian Anastasia to sleep. Being a young couple with no children, our dogs are the loves of our lives.
We had adopted Anastasia (or Ana, as we called her - along with about 100 other nicknames like Ana Banana, Ana girl, etc.) from a local shelter in 2005, she was the second dog we had adopted, Baron being the first. Like most shelter dogs, she picked us and we loved her from the moment we saw her.
Ana was an older dog, so we knew from the start that her time with us would not be long. In that time, together with her brother Baron, we became a family in every sense of the word.
About a year ago, Ana started having trouble walking. After several trips to the Vet, we learned that she had a growth in her Central Nervous System. Since she was such an older dog, it was recommended that we treat her with medication rather than surgery. However, our Vet did tell us that the medication would in time stop working and we would have to make a decision. What we thought would be 3-4 months, turned into a year and we loved being able to have our girl for that extra time.
Sadly, the day we were dreading came and we had to make a decision about Ana. After the hard part was over with, we knew whatever we did with her after that point had to be something special. She was our special girl and had to be treated as such.
We contacted Chamber Members Juergen and Peaches Schmidt at the Cape Coral Pet Crematory, which was the best decision we could have made. From the first phone call to the day we picked up Ana's urn, the Schmidt's were compassionate and caring. They kept in contact with us regarding every detail and really went the extra mile to make this difficult time in our lives a lot easier.
For all of you dog lovers (or pet lovers for that matter) out there, the Cape Coral Pet Crematory offers a wonderful service. If you are like us, your pets are a part of your family and are treated as such. We were so thankful to have this option available to us in Cape Coral.

Neo and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our heavy hearts for the truly respectful way in which you treated our red rottweiler Pharaoh. The box in which he was placed could not have been a better choice.
Many of the young kids Pharaoh has met could not pronounce his name and they would invariably call him flower. So a red box with carved flowers suits him perfectly. It is heartwarming to know that there are still people that take pride in their work and treat the job with dignity and respect. After my mother was cremated, we were handed a cardboard box with a plastic bag containing her remains. It soured me on cremation for years to think that no one really cared but us. Pharaoh means the world to us and to have him treated so well through this whole process is not something that will be easily forgotten.
Thank you for re-establishing a trust that had been taken away from me for so many years and with someone so special to us.

They were there to Help
My son's best friend and constant companion Princess died suddenly.
When he found her dead in the closet he was so devastated, He could not take care of the details and what to do next. His girlfriend found Peaches and Jay and we got the girl in thier loving hands, they treated her and us with such kindness and compassion. My son will now have her memorial ashes and a paw print to remember her .
